The internet has been buzzing ever since Hailey Bieber first teased her very own skin-care line in 2019. A few years and countless makeup-free selfies later, the supermodel is finally sharing the secret to her “glazed donut” skin: her very own line, RHODE, available today.
Unlike many skin-care lines with endless amounts of product, RHODE offers a pared-back lineup of skin essentials, an approach Bieber says she abides by in her daily life.
“I live by a collection of edited essentials,” shares Bieber in a release. “One really good coat, or one really good moisturizer that works perfectly for me and that I’ll always come back to.”
About RHODE
RHODE is all about straightforward, minimalistic products that work. “RHODE provides affordable, luxurious products with thoughtful intention that deliver gentle, effective skincare to invest in yourself for the long haul,” reads supplied brand materials. “The RHODE assortment will always be edited and intentional, or in Hailey’s words, ONE OF EVERYTHING REALLY GOOD.”
In addition to high-quality formulas and only-what-you-need offerings, every RHODE product is certified cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free and dermatologist-developed and tested.
What’s Available Now
Housed in modern and timeless gray packaging, RHODE’s first drop—it’s unclear if the supermodel has more products in the works—consists of a hydrating, plumping serum, barrier-restoring cream and a lip treatment. Here are the details:
Peptide Glazing Fluid ($29): a water-light gel-meets-serum designed to deliver “dewy hydration” via a blend of niacinamide, peptides, hyaluronic acid and marula oil. Seconds after application, my skin went from parched to dewy, even glowy on the high points of my face. It’s no wonder why this one is pegged as “Hailey’s signature dewy glow in a bottle” and the secret to “instantly yummy, radiant skin.” (If you were to choose one product to try from the line, let it be this one.)
Barrier Restore Cream ($29): a “rich face concentrate” packed with shea butter, squalane, peptides, acai and niacinamide. Designed to “comfort, soothe, and restore the skin barrier,” this cream is described as having a rich, velvety consistency, but offers a surprisingly lightweight and whipped finish. Unlike many barrier-restoring creams that can feel a bit thick and tacky, this lightweight offering plays well with all skin types (my oily skin included).
Peptide Lip Treatment ($16): a plumping, restorative lip treatment “for naturally plump, pillowy-soft lips.” The smooth, high-gloss blend of shea butter, peptides, cupuaçu and babassu is available in three “flavors”—Unscented, Salted Caramel and Watermelon Slice—to suit every mood. If a rich, glazed gloss is your cup of tea, you just hit the jackpot.
The RHODE Futures Foundation
Bieber isn’t just rolling out a skin-care line, she is also introducing The RHODE FUTURES FOUNDATION, an organization “investing in and supporting 1,000 women and their families by 2023.” The brand notes this includes ALL women, “including non-binary, trans, non-cis and all women-identified persons.”
“We are partnering with three organizations which provide women with the resources they need to direct their own futures: Accion Opportunity Fund, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, and the LIFT Communities Family Goal Fund,” reads the release. “From launch, RHODE has committed a minimum of 1% of our sales and ongoing team volunteer efforts toward supporting our partners who actively help women direct their own careers, health, and journey to motherhood.”
