John Terry sends 'angry' response to Jamie Carragher’s Liverpool FA Cup message

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has prompted an angry response from John Terry after posting a reminder of their meeting in the 2006 FA Cup semi-final.

The Reds are preparing to take on Manchester City at Wembley this afternoon as the club hopes to earn their place in an FA Cup Final for the first time in a decade.

Despite Liverpool ’s recent success under Jurgen Klopp, the club have not won the famous trophy since Steven Gerrard ’s unforgettable performance against West Ham, 16 years ago.

Having experienced what it felt like to win an FA Cup semi-final, Carragher posted a nostalgic clip from Liverpool’s victory over Chelsea on social media.

The clip showed referee Graham Poll blowing the final whistle as Carragher beat the Chelsea man to the ball, before going off to celebrate with his team-mates.

That day, Rafa Benitez ’s side earned the victory at Old Trafford, courtesy of a John Arne Riise free-kick and a wonderful left-footed striker from Luis Garcia.

The ex-England captain then had a goal ruled out for obstructing Riise, before Garcia added Liverpool’s second of the afternoon
