We are less than a week away from NBA free agency, and the madness is picking up.
One of the biggest questions of the offseason is what is going to happen with the Brooklyn Nets?
Kyrie Irving can become a free agent and his future is up in the air, thus leading to speculation Kevin Durant could possibly being in a similar state. As a result, fans are Photoshopping players into their favorite teams’ jerseys and putting ESPN’s trade machine to use.
One hypothetical jersey swap stands out from the rest: Portland star Damian Lillard’s photo that he posted to his Instagram story of him and Durant next to one another in Trail Blazers uniforms.
Is Lillard just doing a little recruiting on the off chance that Durant becomes available in a trade? It sure seems like it. And until we know more, we’ll just assume that’s all this is.
While the NBA has not officially set a start time for free agency, the negotiating period is expected to open at 6 p.m. ET on June 30. Get your popcorn ready.
