Motherwell 1 Rangers 3 RECAP as Gio van Bronckhorst's men rise to the title challenge

It was a comfortable win in Paisley for Rangers this afternoon as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men put four goals by St Mirren.

It was a pretty comfortable win in Lanarkshire for Rangers as they put three goals by Motherwell.

But the Glasgow side went down to ten men in the first half after Leon Balogun saw red with just 28 minutes played.

Motherwell took advantage of their extra man just seven minutes later with Tierney hitting home to equalise before half time.

The Rangers half time team talk seemed to work though with the Gers coming out to score two more goals in the second 45.

A strike from Wright followed by a Tavernier goal from the spot and it was game over.

Giovanni van Bronckhorsts side simply have to keep winning games to keep their title hopes alive.
