Joe Worrall makes ‘something special’ prediction over Nottingham Forest’s promotion push

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall believes that the team can achieve ‘something special’ at the end of the season as Steve Cooper’s men took a massive step towards the Premier League.

The Reds came out as 1-0 winners over already-promoted Fulham on Tuesday night, Philip Zinckernagel’s goal proving to be the difference between the two sides.

That three points paired with Bournemouth’s 3-3 draw against Swansea City means that a top-two finish is now in Forest’s hands.

Three wins from all of their final three games will see Steve Cooper’s side play Premier League football next season.

That is due to one of the game being against the Cherries as Forest travel down to the South coast next week.

Following the win over Fulham, Worrall insisted that their eyes were not on events at the Swansea City Stadium as Bournemouth came from 3-0 down to draw.

We won 1-0, that’s the only thing we can control, sorry to give you the PC answer but that’s the way it is,” the defender told Sky Sports after the game.
