How the Premier League relegation picture looks after Leeds United's draw with Southampton
Leeds United look almost safe from relegation after a three match run of form bettered only by Liverpool.
The run started with wins over Norwich City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and a seventh point came in the 1-1 draw with Southampton at Elland Road today.
Only Liverpool have bettered that run, while Manchester City are the only team that matched it.
Elsewhere in the Premier League today, Burnley lost 2-0 to Manchester City and Watford lost 2-0 to Liverpool, helping Leeds to safety.
The gap between Leeds and third-bottom Watford is now eight points, though Watford have a game in hand. The two will meet in a vital clash at Vicarage Road next Saturday.
Posing little threat of catching Leeds are Norwich City in bottom place, 12 points behind the Whites.
Above Norwich are Burnley on 21 points, one behind Watford and nine behind Leeds, but with three games in hand over Leeds.
