Former Giants running back and Rutgers coach Gary Brown dead at 52

Written by sidhanta

The New York Giants are mourning the death of former running back Gary Brown, who died Sunday night at the age of 52.

According to the report, Brown was diagnosed with a malignant tumor near his pancreas in 2020 and was hospitalized in December with septic shock.

The report states Brown “ultimately succumbed to liver and kidney failure.”

Brown spent the final two seasons of his eight-year NFL career with the Giants, running for a career-best 1,063 yards in 1998. He retired following the 1999 campaign.

We mourn the passing of Gary Brown, a great man who played for Big Blue for two years - including a 1,000-yard season in 1998. Once a Giant, Always a Giant.
