Five ups and two downs from colossal Burnley win as Clarets pile pressure on Everton and Leeds

Burnley made it three Premier League wins from three at Watford on Saturday with a sensational late comeback that lifted them five points clear of the bottom three.

Everton can reduce the gap this afternoon but the Clarets have the momentum right now and are suddenly looking like a team revived.

There is still work to do but this is a team that are riding the crest of a wave and the win at Watford provided further emphasis of that.

"People criticise them other things but you can never criticise them for that spirit and togetherness."

The words of Mike Jackson to Lancs Live after the game yesterday. The second half, and in particular the last 10 minutes, summed up the spirit at Burnley.

They were second best in the first period and several players were below their best - including the two goalscorers - but to a man Burnley stepped up after the break and just refused to give in.

They kept going, got their rewards and then went and won it. Character in abundance.
